Quilt Ministry

 

Horne’s Quilt Ministry’s mission is to provide quilts for individuals with various needs.

Childrens quilts are taken to Johnston County Child Protective Services for children that have been removed from their homes.  The quilts are made by members of our group who want to share love, comfort, hope, and prayers with those children finding themselves in midst of severe family crisis. 

Adult quilts are taken to both Johnston UNC Healthcare Oncology in Clayton plus the Duke Women’s Cancer Center in Raleigh.  Those quilts are given to Nursing contacts that select quilts based on the needs of the patients.  Each person in our group has been affected by cancer so we understand the impact of these wonderful gifts.  Each quilt is accompanied with a personalized handmade card from the Church.

 

 

Join us each month when the Quilt Ministry team works on the individual quilts.  You don’t have to know how to sew to join us as we have ‘non-sewing’ tasks. We meet every 3^rd Wed. at the church on the 2nd floor.   Contact the church office for more information.
