The Hanging of the Greens Service is on the first Sunday of Advent every year. This is a service to reclaim the meaning and spirit behind our holiday décor. Knowing and celebrating these meanings help us see God “entering in” all around us. Join us for a beautiful service with music, lighting the tree, a special Christmas story and hanging of the greens. Nursery services are not available during this family-friendly service!
Horne’s Jubilate Ringers and Chancel Choir will entertain us at the Clayton Tree lighting on Thursday, December 5 between 5:30pm and 6:30pm in front of Blackley’s Printing.
In the spirit of the season, we extend an invitation to contribute to our tradition of adorning our services with large poinsettia bushes by donating $15 or more in honor or memory of loved ones, by 12/8. These generous gifts will add beauty and serve as a meaningful tribute during our holiday services to be listed in our bulletin on Sunday, Dec. 15 (Cantata Sunday). We will not offer the small poinsettias to take home this year. Thank you for considering this opportunity to create a lasting memory within our church family. March 28-30, 2025 – Dancing in the Spirit
To become more like Christ, we must allow the Lord to lead us in a spiritual journey that invites us to celebrate the divine and embrace the joy found in worship and lead the dance of grace to the music of the Holy Spirit. Join us as we praise, worship and express our faith through creativity!

TOY DRIVE – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7th COMMUNITY GIVE-AWAY
We are collecting new and gently used toys for the Toy Give-away December 7. Please drop off all toys on the Lassiter House back porch between now and 12/6/24. Thank you for your help with this community family ministry.
The Toy Drive will partner again this year with our HEARTS OF HOPE clothing closet in the Lassiter House. It will also be open to the community on this day, to hand out all other items to the community, so please add support to this important ministry as well. Currently they need gently used winter clothing for the entire family, houseware items especially blankets, towels and kitchen items. Ziplock bags of all sizes. In addition, in October we are collecting new children’s PJ’s.
